The Bible tells us in Psalm 119:11, “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”

Memorizing God’s Word is not just about remembering the words.

We memorize God’s Word so that his Word can stay in our hearts and guide us wherever we go.

And today, we celebrated all the hard work we have done memorizing Psalm 121!

Lord God the Father, we are grateful for what you have done for us.

You have placed your Word, the living Word himself, in our hearts.

Please come and make your home in our hearts, and never leave us.

Let your Word be a lamp that guides our lives and leads us into your presence.

In the precious name of your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
