Today, we talked about repentance! 회개에 대해서 오늘 이야기해보았어요!
회개, it comes from Chinese characters. 회(回) means to turn back or to return.
It’s like when you realize you’re going the wrong way, and you turn around to go back to the right path.
개 (改) means to change or to correct. It means fixing what was wrong, changing your ways, and doing the right thing.
So together, 회개, repentance means to turn back from the wrong way and to turn back to God, and you choose to change your actions.
회개는 잘못된 길을 돌아서는 것 뿐만 아니라, 잘못된 행실을 고치는 것까지가 포함되어요.
잘못된 행실을 가지고 새로운 길을 가봤자, 우리가 걷는 그 길은 우리의 죄 때문에 오염될거예요.
또한 잘못된 행실은 고쳤어도, 우리가 걷던 길을 그대로 계속 걷게 되면 우리는 곧 유혹에 넘어가게 될 거예요.
시편 1편 1절에 죄가 어떻게 우리를 집어 삼키는지 과정이 나와있어요.
Walk, Stand, Sit 기억하세요.
Walk 죄는 우리의 귀를 유혹해서 우리의 몸이 죄로 향하게 만들어요. Walk in step with the wicked
Stand 단지 나쁜 사람들의 말에 귀 기울이는 것 이상으로 우리는 시간을 더 들여서 악한 사람들, 악한 행실에 집중하게 돼요. Be ready to do bad things with bad people!
Stand in the way that sinners take
Sit 그야말로 자리 잡고 악의 자리에 앉아버리는거예요. 우리는 악한 사람이 되어버려요. Sit in the company of mockers
하지만 하나님은 이 모든 것에서 돌아서라고 말씀하세요 DON NOT WALK, STAND, OR SIT

하나님은 우리와 함께 걷고, 서고, 앉기를 원하세요!
- God, we believe that you have taught us your way.
- When we meditate on your Word day and night, we become more aware of what you want us to do.
- If there is anything wrong in us, please show us and help us to repent.
- Also, help us to change our direction and follow your way. We want to be people who are blessed in your sight.
- Help us to turn away from walking, standing, and sitting with those who do wrong.
- We want to walk with you, stand before you, and sit with you. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
