Today’s Scripture is Psalm 80:3. This verse is repeated three times in this passage. Let us read this verse all together.

“Restore us, O God; let your face shine, that we may be saved!” (Ps 80:3,7,19):

“하나님, 우리를 회복시켜주세요. 주님의 얼굴빛을 비추사 우리가 구원을 얻게 해 주세요”

This coming Thursday marks the day Jesus was born about 2,000 years ago.

We have celebrated his birthday for a long time, and it is still worth celebrating because he is not dead.

This is his birthday, not a memorial for his death.

We remember his first coming as a baby, born to die for our sins.

We also remember his promise that he will come again a second time as the King of kings and Lord of lords, to judge the world.

We celebrate with joy, but at the same time we prepare for his second coming with humble hearts, examining ourselves.

With the hope and peace that Jesus brings to us, we pray: “Restore us, O God; let your face shine, that we may be saved.”

We prepared a cake for Jesus. The night Jesus was born was very quiet.

His birth was not announced to everyone. It was a special secret that God showed only to a few people.
